Sewing Center for Girls
Upon the request of the elders of Khuian village near Talagang, SABA Trust started a small training center for girls in the village, with a donation of stitching machines and related raw materials. This village did not have such a school earlier, where young girls are now learning new skills such as stitching, embroidery and making small handicraft items. These items are sold in cities, where demand for such handicrafts is high. Young ladies can benefit from the income generated through their newlyacquired skills.
A group of girls from the training center visited the SABA head office and we are extremely proud of their progress and we have actually written plans to help them grow in a big way. Inshallah this school will expand its operations and become a self-supporting organization in the near future.

New Saba Trust Complex(Planning)
Saba Trust is developing a large complex that will house a variety of facilities, and a remarkable plan has emerged in Tibbi Bangla, Pakistan. The people of Tibbi Bangla have been inspired to imagine the development of a major educational and social services complex in their midst, sparking dreams of new leaders emerging to give Pakistan a place of pride on the world stage. To realize this dream, the people of Tibbi Bangla have granted Saba Aslam Trust the opportunity to develop a large parcel of land into such a complex, and work is now underway. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on September 21, 2003. The ceremony was accompanied by the distribution of over 15,000 packets of clothes to needy people in the region, as well as the donation of 55 computers to different government schools.

Architects, engineers, electricians, plumbers, organizers and workers have been recruited to bring the vision to reality, and they are working at a breakneck pace. Local community members have been donating materials and supplies, including bricks, marble, wood, furniture, and other materials. Supporters are also sponsoring the outfitting of various facilities in the complex.

The complex will house educational facilities for boys and girls at the primary and secondary levels, offering the best education available. The curriculum will cover a variety of modern subjects, and students will have access to science labs and computer centers. Furthermore, a state-of-the-art computing center will be part of the complex. Young adults and adult students will have access to courses in programming, graphic design, database design, web development, and other skills.

The complex will also house a training center where a variety of skills and trades can be learned. A sewing center for girls and women will be among the facilities that provide vocational training to help motivated individuals become self-reliant and productive members of society.
